What Your Mission Is:
The Lot Inventory Management Controller is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory
levels for all roofing materials, tools, and equipment stored on the company lot. This role ensures proper
organization, inventory tracking, and material readiness for job sites. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented,
highly organized, and committed to maintaining operational efficiency through proactive inventory control and lot maintenance.
What You"ll Do:
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials, tools and equipment.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
- Track material usage and returns from job sites.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate restocking needs.
- Prevent material loss through accountability systems.
- Lot Organization & Maintenance
- Implement and maintain a clean, organized and safe yard layout.
- Label and categorize all stored items clearly.
- Coordinate layout change to optimize space and efficiency.
- Ensure clear walkways and safe access to all inventory
- Material Coordination
- Assist in pulling materials for upcoming jobs based on job folders/work orders.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify accuracy and condition.
- Work with procurement and production teams to track orders and deliveries.
- Return unused or damaged materials appropriately.
- Asset and Equipment Oversight
- Assist in pulling materials for upcoming jobs based on job folders/work orders.
- Asset and Equipment Oversight
- Track tools, trailers, and equipment assigned to crews.
- Schedule and document weekly equipment inspections.
- Identify missing or damaged items and report for repair or replacement.
- Asset and Equipment Oversight

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments: verify accuracy and condition
- Work with procurement and production teams to track orders and deliveries
- Return unused or damaged materials appropriately.
- Communication & Reporting
- Provide weekly reports on inventory counts, shortages, and lot conditions.
- Collaborate with the operations, purchasing, and production teams.
- Report any safety concerns and inefficiencies.
What Qualifications you will need:
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or materials control preferred (construction or roofing experience a plus).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of inventory tracking systems or apps (e.g., spreadsheets, Zuper, or similar).
- Ability to operate a forklift or similar equipment (certification preferred).
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor lot and warehouse environment.
- Physical labor required (lifting, loading, organizing).
- Standard working hours with some flexibility based on job demands.
- Weekly work schedule, Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm
- $18 - $24 / Hr
