Job Summary
The District Controller plays a pivotal role in shaping the district's financial strategies and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Collaborating closely with the District CFO, provides financial insights and analyses of all district component units, supporting strategic decision-making processes. Oversees the preparation of monthly and annual combined financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, and reviewing and interpreting financial statements for district leadership and the Board of Managers. Provides financial analysis, analyzes budget variances, trends, and key performance indicators, and participates in strategic and operational planning, service design, and resource allocation to align financial strategies with the district's goals.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Seven years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, encompassing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, including five years in a managerial or supervisory capacity required.
License/Registration/Certification:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Education and Training:
Master’s degree in a related field required.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Competence in variance analysis and performance evaluation.
