Your Purpose as a Automotive Title Clerk:
- Prepare all new and used motor vehicle title paperwork for the state in which they will be titled
- Submit legal title transfer work to the NE Department of Motor Vehicles using the online system through eDMV.gov
- Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications
- Follow up with various lenders on the title status of recently paid off vehicles/trade ins
- Verify the accuracy of all paperwork and ensure that all information is complete
- Maintains an out of state title list, processes out of state inspections and flips trade in titles to the dealer's name
- Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles
- Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations
- Conducts periodic training sessions for dealership personnel regarding title regulations and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous title experience preferred
