Job Description
The Assistant Director of Education assists in developing curriculum, assessment, and implementation of educational programs and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of curriculum goals and outlines for programs and initiatives.
- Participate in the development of new curriculum and evaluation of existing material.
- Utilize data, surveys, and evaluations to make recommendations for how to improve and edit curriculum.
- Actively pursue opportunities to continue to learn best practices in curriculum writingthrough research, professional development, and other learning opportunities.
- Lead coordination of a major national educational program, including event promotion,registration, curriculum, and execution.
- Coordinate the Fraternity Awards Competition program.
- Support National Ambassador program for collegian members.
- Assist in the planning and execution of educational programs and initiatives.
- Prepare instructional material and develop syllabus material as necessary.
- Assist the Director of Education with various duties, programs, and responsibilities of the department.
- Travel to in-person educational programs and staff training.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (ideally in curriculum design, education, student affairs, or related field)
- Demonstrated curriculum development experience, including outcomes and objective development, and assessment with 2-4 years of professional experience
- Excellent facilitation, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to analyze information and draw logical and insightful conclusions from diverse information
- Identify and address problems by developing, evaluating, and implementing solutions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Team-oriented, servant leader, motivated to exceed expectations
- Ability to work independently to achieve targeted goals and initiatives
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-term goals
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying deadlines
- Public speaking, computer, and communication skills required
- Ability to find career satisfaction in this position for a period of no less than three years
- Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon preferred
Location: Chicago Metropolitan Area or remote (must live within driving distance of a major airport)
