RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the preparation of weekly and monthly financial/operational reports, providing value added insights to leadership on performance
Support the maintenance, development and evolution of financial planning and business intelligence platforms (Adaptive Insights, Looker, etc.) enabling more impactful reporting and analysis across the organization
Cultivate cross-functional relationships to help learn the business and promote financial accountability across the organization
Drive a more inclusive planning and forecasting process with key business partners by coordinating a planning calendar and leading the development of tools, templates, reporting, etc.
Support the establishment of an operating cadence with functional leadership to review actual results vs. expectations, incorporating learnings into forward forecasts as appropriate
Foster a culture of continuous learning and business process improvement within the FP&A function and across the organization

The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Sr Director of FP&A and play a meaningful part in expanding the role of the FP&A function at The Shade Store. He/she will be responsible for becoming a valued business partner to functional leadership, managing financial/operational reporting, and elevating its impact on the organization while supporting the continued build-out of Core FP&A processes/procedures. The position will be based out of our national headquarters in Port Chester, NY (bordering Westchester and Fairfield counties).

Job Details

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
4 to 7 years in an FP&A or business analytics role with progressively increasing responsibilities and a proven track record as an effective business partner
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement presentation and profitability reporting
Proven ability to synthesize analysis of large data sets into impactful summaries
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude
Strong organizational skills and with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advance MS Excel skills (Logical formulas, Lookups, Pivot Tables, Indirect)
Exposure to financial systems (Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, etc.) and business intelligence / data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) a plus
