Job Description

General Overview

The Coordinator of Donor Services will be responsible for the execution and coordination of donor acknowledgment, maintaining accurate and updated donor records, managing matching gift opportunities, and daily gift entry in the absence of the Associate Director of Donor Services.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Fundraising experience is strongly preferred
  • SAE membership is not required

Knowledge & Skills

  • Customer service/support experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Analytical, well-organized, and a strong critical-thinker
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective relationships with Sigma Alpha Epsilon staff, donors, and volunteers
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of database programs, including Salesforce
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and effectively manage and set priorities
  • Understanding of and personal commitment to Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s mission
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Specific Duties

  • Respond to donor inquiries via phone and email. Coordinate responses as needed within the Foundation staff.
  • Produce, assemble, and distribute acknowledgment letters for all gifts daily.
  • Assemble and distribute donor letters and premiums.
  • Update addresses and contact information daily based on appeals and returned mail.
  • Manage matching gift opportunities.
  • Run reports in Salesforce as requested.
  • Provide a weekly update of major gifts to the Gift Officer and CEO.
  • Submit check requests to the Accounting Department for Foundation expenses, scholarships, and awards.
  • Assist with marketing and communication projects as requested.
  • Coordination of timely charitable state and financial renewals.
  • Occasionally assist with gift entry from multiple sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.
