Job Description

This role is responsible for leading the materials planning process for new product launches & product discontinuations within Fortune Brands Innovations' Outdoors Business Unit. The Analyst will also work with demand and material planning teams to provide glide paths for both commercial team requests, as well as recovery for late customer orders and fill rate misses. The goal is to deliver a 98%+ fill rate to our customers.


Location and Status: This is a full time hybrid position requiring in-office presence 3 days per week (Tue, Wed, Thu) with the ability to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. The successful candidate must live within a commutable distance to our offices in North Olmsted, OH.


RESPONSIBLIITIES:

  • Develop plan for materials and inventory for new product launches and product discontinuations.
  • Ensure appropriate balance of inventory throughout the system to eliminate service misses.
  • Work with demand and materials planning team to identify and reduce obsolete and slow-moving inventory during product transitions.
  • Work with demand and materials planning team to develop glide paths for service recovery of late orders and fill rate misses.
  • Participate as a key team member in cross-functional supply chain projects that support the Fortune Brands Innovations Vision into Action.
  • Monitor the performance of new products (sales vs. plan) and propose actions to prevent stock outs.
  • Other requests as needed.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in any element of Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems – (i.e. Oracle, PeopleSoft).
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like QlikView, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and establish relationships with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to influence and drive solutions across the supply chain.
  • Ability to create and lead presentations for leaders and stake-holders. 
  • Must be a team player with the ability to think conceptually and flexibly with a strong focus on execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, especially Excel. Strong Excel skills are required. 
  • Strong collaborator who is comfortable with ambiguity.
